LeoVegas Sign Up UK
Signing up to LeoVegas takes a few minutes, but the details you enter decide how smoothly everything after it goes — from your first deposit to your first withdrawal. This page explains what the registration form asks for, why age and identity checks are compulsory in Great Britain, which documents you may be asked for and the mistakes that most often hold an account up.
We are an independent guide, not the operator. We do not open accounts and we publish no welcome offer figures. 18+ only. UK residents only.
What you need before you register
Have the essentials ready before you open the form. Using details that match your ID and your bank records exactly is the single most effective way to avoid a delay later.
- Be 18 or over and living in the UK
- Your full legal name and date of birth, exactly as on your ID
- Your current UK address and postcode
- An email address and mobile number you have access to
- A debit card, e-wallet or bank account in your own name — credit cards cannot be used
LeoVegas registration step by step
The order of the screens can change, but the information requested stays broadly the same on the website, the mobile browser and the LeoVegas app.
First, enter your email and create a password you do not use anywhere else. Next, add your name, date of birth, address and phone number. You will be asked to accept the terms and privacy policy and to choose your marketing preferences — you can decline marketing without affecting the account. Many operators then prompt you to set a deposit limit; doing it now, before you have played, is far easier than doing it later.
Once the form is submitted, automatic checks run in the background. Only when they pass can you deposit and play.
- Create login details: email and a unique password
- Add personal details that match your ID
- Accept the terms and choose marketing preferences
- Set a deposit limit
- Wait for automatic checks, then make a first deposit
Age and identity verification in Great Britain
Since 2019, operators licensed by the Gambling Commission must verify your age and identity before you can deposit or gamble, including in free-to-play demo modes. That is why a LeoVegas account cannot be used straight away if the checks are not complete.
Most players are verified automatically against electoral roll and credit reference data, without uploading anything. If the checks cannot match you — after a recent house move, a name change or a typo — the account will ask for documents instead. Registering also checks the GAMSTOP register: if you are self-excluded, the account will not be opened.
- Photo ID: a valid passport or photocard driving licence
- Proof of address: a recent utility bill, council tax letter or bank statement
- Payment ownership: a statement or card image showing your name, when requested
- Source of funds or affordability information: occasionally requested for higher activity
Mistakes that hold up a new LeoVegas account
Almost every delayed verification comes down to a mismatch. A missing middle name, a nickname instead of a legal name, an old address or a phone number registered to someone else all force a manual review.
Documents cause the rest. Photographs that are cropped, blurred, taken at an angle or show an expired ID will be rejected. Lay the document flat, use daylight and keep all four corners in the frame. Opening a second account to get round a problem is never the answer: duplicate accounts break the terms and are usually closed.
Your first deposit and the welcome offer
Once verified, open the cashier and choose a method in your own name. The first deposit is often linked to a welcome promotion, so read its terms before you pay: some payment methods may be excluded, and opting in can tie your balance to wagering until it is completed or forfeited.
From 19 January 2026, wagering on new promotions in Great Britain is capped at 10 times the bonus, and offers can no longer require you to combine different products, such as casino and sports betting, to qualify. Our LeoVegas bonus guide explains how to read the rest of the terms, and the deposits and withdrawals guide covers the cashier.
After you sign up
Bookmark the official site or install the app from the official store, so you never need to log in through a link in an email. Turn off marketing you do not want, check your deposit limit and decide in advance how much time and money you are comfortable spending.
If you have trouble getting in later, our LeoVegas login guide covers password resets and common errors, and our responsible gambling guide covers time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion.
FAQ
How do I sign up to LeoVegas in the UK?
Open the official site or app, choose to register, enter your email, password, name, date of birth, address and phone number, accept the terms and wait for the automatic identity checks. You can deposit once they pass.
What documents does LeoVegas ask for?
Often none, because many checks are automatic. If they fail, you may be asked for photo ID, proof of address and proof that a payment method is yours. Requirements vary by account.
Can I play before my account is verified?
No. In Great Britain, age and identity verification must be completed before you deposit or play, including free demo games.
How old do you have to be to join LeoVegas?
You must be 18 or over. Accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 are closed.
Can I open a second LeoVegas account?
No. One account per person is the rule, and duplicate accounts are usually closed. If you have a problem with your existing account, contact LeoVegas support.
